What is reclaimed water? It is wastewater (discarded water from toilets, sinks, laundries, tubs and showers) that has been cleaned and purified through an advanced wastewater treatment process that eliminates harmful by-products.

It takes wastewater from four to five houses to supply one house with reclaimed water. Reclaimed water is a limited resource and should be used wisely. Reclaimed water travels from the wastewater treatment plant to houses and businesses through a separate reclaimed water pipe system. These pipes are identified by the color purple.
